I hear alot about fake it til you make it, and I think there's some good advice in that. The one I've latched onto that's similar is "you can do anything you have the balls to fake long enough to learn." I like it better because it results in learning. As in, not faking it to "make it" (whatever that means... get through the evening without puking on your shoes? not sure) but learning how to do something and incorporate it into you character. Cuz you know what? if you feel like you're faking it and you don't like that, then don't do it! Maybe you're faking the wrong stuff?
I know you're lovely (and yes, pretty boobs!) and excellent company but I would hate to think of you cringing the whole time. Surely there is a compromise? Learning how to have a good time in a way that's genuinely you, rather than faking it, maybe?
