My big fat greek holiday

baasheepThank you very much for the nice words in the last post. I am so relieved that this year is over and I don't have to resit any exams. I was mailing with a classmate and he failed one exam this semester by 2% and one last semester by 5% so he has to do resit's in august. He's dreading it poor guy. Cue emails of support from the rest of the class so hopefully he's feeling better and encouraged.
I spent this weekend on me. Which was great but there are boring bu nessecery things I should have done this weekend. Namely cleaning my room as there is some electrician guy coming to look at the broken plug socket in my room on tuesday. Sigh, its a mess but hopefully I will get the worst of it done tommorow night. It was a fun weekend though and I feel much more relaxed then I did from being on vacation.
Ah yes vacation I didn't get too much into it did I? It was bascially fun but there were a few things that really stressed me out. Namely the girls I was sharing the apartment with and the fact I got sick. The girls where nice enough but they were very close with each other which at times made me feel like a bit of a spare tit. However the night after the wedding one of them brought a boy home. Let me back up and describe the place we were staying in. It was bascially two rooms. The first a kitchen area with a daybed which was mine. Then straight into the bedroom with the worlds tiniest double bed which the girls had to share. Off that bedroom was the bathroom. The door didn't fully close on the bathroom.
So J got drunk and brought a boy home. She texted her roomie/friend to say could she bunk up with boys roommate. Yeah that was awkward. Although we were all part of the same wedding party she had only met the dude a few days ago and had to knock on his door at 4am and say hey I'm sharing a room with you as your roomie has gone off with mine!. I woke up after J had smuggle the boy into the room via mine. I then had to turn my ipod on for 3 hours so I didn't have to hear them making sex noises. Plus I had been sick since the day before and really really needed the bathroom. Luckily my friend was in the next apartment with her family so I texted her at 6am and asked could I use the bathroom. Luckily she was awake using the bathroom so I got to go pretty much straight away.
Fast forward to a few hours later. I was heading to the pool and saw other roomie coming home. She filled me in on what had happened and got really upset because really who wants to knock on a strange mans door at 4 in the morning and tell them you would be sharing a room with them. I took her to breakfast to calm her down and also because J and the boy were still there. As we were leaving J came bounding down full of the joys. I had already told other roomie (Cee) that I was going to have a word with her about how she had behaved and Cee got worried because apparently J has a way of twisting things to their mutual friends which makes Cee look like the bad person. Luckily I am not close friends with either of them so didn't have any qualms about saying what needed to be said. I asked J if I could have a word and we sat down with Cee nervously standing a few paces away. I told her that I felt her behaviour had been completly inappropriate considering the apartment was so small and that I was sick and couldn't get into the bathroom as I didn't feel comfortable with boy there. Also I mentioned about having to have my ipod due to "sounds". J was mortified and apologised. I said I would speak with her later but I was quite tired and needed to get some sleep.
When I spoke to her later I told her as far as I was concerned I had said my piece, she apologised and that the matter was closed. J was relieved but I heard later from a few of my friends that J had asked them what I had said (which was nothing as far as I was concerned it was between the 3 of us) and bascially told them what had happened but added in a few things like how she was a single mother and didn't get to do this very often (speaking to the choir sister I ain't gone none in months) and she hoped that I would let the issue drop. She made things worse for herself I think, all of my friends told her if they were in my place they would be as annoyed as I was, as I pointed out to her, if the apartment was bigger and I didn't have to go through their bedroom to get to the bathroom then she could have brought him back every night as far as I was concerned. Still though it was interesting that she was trying to put her spin on it as Cee said she would.
Cee apparently thought we were bestest friends now. Which was flattering I guess, it seems she is quite a shy person and allows herself to be walked over by some of her friends to keep the peace. I found it a little tiresome after a while, wherever I went Cee wanted to go, if I went to dinner with my friends Cee was asking to come along, if I was at the pool Cee turned up. I think she felt awkward around J even though I made sure to leave her out of it when I was talking. It didn't help J was still hooking up with boy (don't ask me where, one it wasn't our place I didn't care) so I think Cee was a little lonely as she didn't know many people there so I tried to spend time with her but was so sick towards the end I couldn't leave the apartment and wasn't really comfortable having people around when having to go to the bathroom. Still though she is a lovely girl and we've made plans to have lunch next week.
